Harry’s focus op Israel 706

Beste Lechaim vrienden,

Odelia schrijft vanuit Sderot:

Odelia Ben Porat.

ENGELS:
ISRAEL UNDER GAZA ROCKETS: an update from Reut-Sderot
Millions of Israeli citizens, including Sderot residents, woke up this morning to an emergency report of the Home Front Command ordering the closing of all schools and non-essential work places. While in the south we are all experienced in dealing with such emergencies, in the center of the country and the Greater Tel-Aviv area, residents were caught unprepared with the sounding off of the sirens today. Today, for the first time since 1991, schools in the city of Tel Aviv were ordered to cancel studies due to the security situation.
Regarding what transpired today in the city of Sderot:
The offices of a non-profit institute in Sderot were severely damaged by a direct missile that hit the building and caused its destruction. Thank God, there were no casualties. A mattress factory suffered a direct hit by missile fire and, up until the time that these words are being written, the flames of the fires that broke out have not been put out. The building is in danger of collapse.
We at Reut are in constant contact with the residents of Sderot to address and assist with any needs and requests, including assistance to the elderly, providing games for the children, and more.
If you would like to help or receive more information, please feel free to contact me. We pray for the safety of IDF soldiers and citizens of the State of Israel.
Odelia Ben Porat
